Brief—
A self initiated project from my MA at the RCA.
Solution—
This is a book about my experiences from living with my autistic brother and watching him grow up.
It’s designed to represent visually and conceptually the features and social aspects of autism.
The book itself actually takes on features of autism in its form (e.g. the page entitled “repetitious behaviour”
is repeated several times before the content moves on and the page entitled “order over functionality” has
all the words re-ordered into alphabetical order so they become ordered but no longer function). This is to
give the reader insight by showing them the world from the perspective of the autistic person. |
